Attention Rhode Islanders! — Rhode Island has semi-closed primaries which means you must affiliate as a Democrat or undeclared to vote for Bernie Sanders in the primary. To complicate matters, Rhode Island also has an early deadline for affiliating, which is on January 27th, 2016 - Only 7 days away as of this posting.
Rhode Island does not have online voter registration, which makes this process a bit more difficult, but VoteForBernie aims to make it as easy as possible to register to vote. Follow the simple instructions below to ensure you are able to Vote For Bernie in the Rhode Island primary on April 26th.

If you are not registered to vote you technically have until March 27th to register. Waiting is not recommended. There are already several states in which it is too late for many Bernie supporters to change their affiliation to vote for him, and they feel left out. Don’t be left out!

There are many registered voters in Rhode Island who are not registered as a Democrat or undeclared, many of whom who expect to be able to vote for Bernie.
They will not.
It’s up to us to spread the word and let everyone in Rhode Island know about the semi-closed primary system and the deadline.
